Working with an event agency in Switzerland: your questions answered
Why work with an event agency based in Switzerland?
Because events here have their own rules: venues that book up a year ahead, guests who switch between German, French and English, and Alpine locations where the weather decides the running order. As an event agency in Switzerland with offices in Zurich, Rapperswil-Jona, Davos and St. Moritz, we know the venues, suppliers and permits first hand, and we are on site within hours rather than flying in for the day.
How much does an event agency charge?
Depending on the project we work to a fixed fee or on a time basis. In our experience the agency fee comes to 10 to 20 per cent of the overall event budget. You see it as a separate line in the quote before anything is signed.
How far in advance should we start planning?
For up to 100 guests, three to four months is comfortable. For anniversaries and larger events, six to twelve months. The best venues and the popular dates in June and December go early, so the sooner you get in touch, the more choice you have.
Can we book you for just part of the job?
Of course. Some clients hand us the whole event, others only need the concept, the technical production or someone to run the show on the day. We are happy either way.
What is live communication, and how is it different from event management?
Event management makes sure everything runs smoothly. Live communication asks what your guests should think, feel and do afterwards, and builds the event around that message. We do both: flawless logistics with a clear story running through the evening.
What size of company do you work with?
Anyone from a 30-strong team to a group with thousands of staff. Our clients include Zürcher Kantonalbank, Sunrise, Helsana, Julius Bär, Lidl and Adecco, alongside plenty of owner-run Swiss businesses.
