GBMZ: 100th anniversary

Anniversary celebration on the Bauschänzli and visual campaign

A summer party to remember in the heart of Zurich

To mark the 100th anniversary of the Zurich housing cooperative GBMZ, Gruber & Ianeselli threw a lively summer party on the Bauschänzli, right in the middle of Zurich.

It was an eventful year for the Gemeinnützige Bau- und Mietergenossenschaft Zürich, which was celebrating its centenary. Under the motto “Zäme fiire i eusem Dihei” (celebrating together in our home), Gruber & Ianeselli hosted the anniversary party on the Bauschänzli in the heart of Zurich in August. But that was not all. Throughout the year, the centenary was unmistakably visible across all ten GBMZ estates, thanks to bespoke visuals Gruber & Ianeselli created together with the illustrator Katrin von Niederhäusern. Alongside flags outdoors and decorations in the communal spaces, residents enjoyed goodies in the anniversary look and a programme of events they organised themselves.
